We are growing!!!! Week 21!!!

Hello Family and Friends...As you can see by our posting this week ... we are getting bigger and rightly so. According to the baby books this week our little one is 10 1/2 inches long or the length of a carrot! We are still feeling fabulous despite the fact that we are dealing with a kitchen remodel as we speak.

This past week has also marked the point when Emma has really started to feel baby Moore moving inside. This has been a lot of fun. Unfortunately we are not at the stage where Kevin can feel the baby moving on the outside of my belly.

The other big news this week is that we will soon find out if baby Moore is a boy or a girl! So we will definitely keep you posted!

Other than that we are now starting to sign up for parenting and birthing classes and are still interviewing doulas (a doula provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after childbirth).

Tis all for now... be well, Emma and Kevin

Week 20!

This week we reach the half-way mark! That's right. We turned 20 weeks today (April 23rd, 2008). According to BabyCenter.com our little one is about 10 inches long or the length of a banana! Mamma and baby are feeling great. A couple of days ago I think I felt our little one move (finally) so every now and then I get a bubbly moving feeling inside, almost a fluttering of which I can equate to our precious little one either practicing some yoga moves or the art of running inside my belly :) ..... We have about a week and half til we find out whether Baby Moore is a he or she but it is amazing how many persons have commented/guessed what we are having. He or she... we just want our little one to be healthy and happy (and a good sleeper - ok we know... newborns don't sleep that much but it never hurts to dream). Enjoy the pics and the commentary! Until next time, Emma and Kevin

Week 19!

Well, this week we turned "19" on Wedenesday the 16th of April, but because we are lagging the day we took the pics for this week was the 18th, Friday. This week (brace yourselves) our little one is the size of an heirloom tomatoe and everything is going well. We had a regular doctor visit last Friday and the heart beat continues to sound strong.

Last weekend the weather was extremely warm in SB and we spent the day at the beach (sorry no pics). We even went out for a stand up paddle and Emma was suprised to find that as long as she started paddling on her knees and then popped up from there everything was great.

We are starting to think about D Day (delivery day)and like any newbie parents are nervous but excited for the coming months.

Til next time..... be well and namaste, Emma and Kevin

4/11/08 - Hear Heart Beat... still waiting to feel the kicks!

Today is Friday, April 11th and we just had another doctor visit. Really simple, just heard the heart beat which sounds really healthly! Within the next couple of days or weeks we should be able to feel the baby move but it is really hard to tell right now. Some say it feels like a goldfish swimming in your stomach or popcorn popping but how do you really even know what that feels like? Tis all for now! Have a great weekend! ~Emma

Welcome!

Hello Family and Friends!

Welcome to our little blog spot. We decided that the best way to keep you current and up-to-date with our baby Moore in utero would be to have some fun and create a site where you could see our progress and our growth weekly or sometimes monthly or maybe even all at once. We are starting with week 18 in our pregnancy as this is when it is safe to say Emma has "popped." According to the books, our baby is the length of a bell pepper this week (measuring about 5 1/2 inches). Pretty amazing when you consider that when we first started comparing baby Moore to fruits and veggies he/she was the size of an olive! Well, enjoy the pics and the commentary!
