Sunriver Reunion

Our stay in Sunriver was amazing! There was so much to do! Hike, mountain bike, play golf, participate in water sports, run or bike on endless trails. The sky's the limit! We had a blast doing all of this with Kevin's side of the family during our Sunriver Family reunion. Each day we had our own agenda of play, then, at dinner time we would all come together to eat, laugh and reconnect as family. What a wonderful blessing - to be included with such a special family for such a special time.

Jamison Square, Pearl District, Portland, OR

3 hours before our plan left for LAX, we decided to get one last bit of fun in. We grabbed some lunch to go at Cha, Cha, Cha Taqueria (loved the taco salad with sauteed mushrooms, onions, fennel, tempeh and black beans, YUM) and headed for Jamison Square, an urban gem for kids young and old. What is it you ask? It is the coolest thing. A water fountain that simulates a shallow tide pool. So water flows over the rock structure and gradually fills the area with knee deep water. This takes about 5 to 10 minutes. All the while, kids are everywhere with water wings, goggles, rubber duckies, everything you would find in a pool or at the beach. Then, the water goes down the drain and the process starts all over again (picture all the kids with their rubber duckies, goggles, water wings, trying to get every last ounce of water in before it evaporates, so funny, lucky for them, it keeps repeating).

This by far was Olivia's favorite place. We seriously could have spent all day at Jamison Square. Way to go Pearl District!

Bath Time, Ace Hotel, PDX

This is so darn cute we felt is deserved it's own post. Bath time at the Ace Hotel was great! The tub was an old claw foot tub, which means lots of room for mama and Olivia to play!

Our Family Vacation

Well, August 7 through the 17th we took our longest family vacation since Olivia was born! Where did we go? We went to Oregon and had oh so much fun! Why Oregon you ask? Kevin's side of the family had a family reunion planned in Sunriver (15 miles from Bend) so we decided to arrive a couple of days early in Oregon and have a little urban vacation in Portland before a couple of rural days in Sunriver. Overall, we had a fabulous time. Below are some highlights from our travels:

Happy Birthday Nala!

We recently helped our friend Nala (mama Heather and toto Nala are part our mamatoto group) celebrate her first b-day. Nala and family threw an amazing party with yummy food, beautiful friends and lots of musical instruments for the little ones to explore. As you can see, the drums were Olivia's favorite!

Olivia's new favorite toy: A black, scarry dragon! :0

While in Cayucos, Olivia's cousins, Tristan and Noah, let Olivia play with their dragon and guess what?!? She absolutely LOVED it! Move over dolls and make way for puff the magic dragon!

Little Miss Personality!

As you can see, our little lady is already developing HER personality!

Olivia's first tidepool!

While Olivia and myself were in Cayucos we went to visit the tidepools. We saw pincher crabs, star fish and other fun creatures. The only hard part was explaining to Olivia the need for her to stick with eating her carrot instead of the sea creatures and seaweed! :)

Cousins!

What a great shot! Before we left for Oregon, we went to Cayucos to visit Grandma Carol, and Uncle Don's Family. We had such a fun time and the highlight of Olivia's trip was time with her cousins! Although she played with Tristan, Noah, Laila and Siena equally and had a blast doing so, the picture above is of Laila, Olivia and Siena. We are so blessed to have family near us and look forward to more Rollin Family adventures!

Our little lady!

Kevin ("dada") likes to call Olivia his "little lady." Here, we think she really does look like a "little lady!" Where does the time go! Already 11 months!

Pool Time with Dad!

One of Olivia's favorite things to do is "Pool Time". She has been swimming (head under the water) since about 4 months of age! Here, she is enjoying some one-on-one time with her Dad!

Getting ready to SUP!

About every weekend, Kevin and myself take Olivia to the beach (Leadbetter or Campus Point are our favorites). She plays in the sand and on our boards and we trade off SUPing. Well, I paddle and Kevin surfs. As you can see, Olivia loves to SUP too!

We're in a tight spot!

These pictures were taken a couple days before our Oregon vacation (August 7-17th). One of Olivia's favorite things to do at Grandma and Grandpa Moore's house is rearrange the chairs by pushing them everywhere and of course walking to do so! Interior Decorator in the making? You decide!
