Fun at the Zoo

Living in Santa Barbara and close to the zoo, we probably visit at least once a week. Olivia's two buds, Cash and Brody often accompany Olivia to the zoo.

Little Miss O

Pound it!

Our trip home would not be complete without Uncle Don teaching little O to "pound it". This means that you take your fist and "pound it" with whomever you are greeting. Now when we say pound it, she makes the fist, taps your fist and exclaims "boom". Thanks Uncle D!

Horses!

As you can see... Olivia is a happy camper when she is around horses! Her cousin Siena is into horseback riding and so we reap the benefits every time we head to my parents home as we wake up each morning with Olivia asking to see the cows and feed the horses carrots! Olivia beams with excitement above as she has just fed Poco and Sage some delightful carrots with her own two hands!

Olivia's first "moto" experience

In May, when we visited for Spring Festival, another "first" for Olivia was going on a quad ride with cousin Westin! She took the ride very serious, but as soon as I picked her up and asked her if she had fun she shouted "YEAH". The rest of the day she shouted "moto" :) Good times!

Riverdale Spring Festival

The first weekend in May we ventured to my home town for the Riverdale Spring Festival.

Picture this. Small town parade, free ice cream provided by local dairy farmers, bbq by the local Lions Club, vendors and rodeo, all in the course of a weekend.



Growing up near Riverdale, I took for granted the care free and simply fun nature of this festival/event. It was fun to see the entire weekend through the eyes of Olivia this time!

Olivia loved the parade (anything horses is a big hit) and her first ice cream cone.
